SUKHMAN SINGH
Sukhman Singh aged 2 & half years old lives in village Keshu Nagali District Rampur U.P. Sukhman was suffering his disease from birth. He had a tumour in his body and his head was larger than normal children. After a few months, the tumour began to grow.
ਸੁਖਮਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਉਮਰ ਢਾਈ ਕੁ ਸਾਲ ਪਿੰਡ ਕੇਸ਼ੂ ਨਗਲੀ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਰਾਮਪੁਰ ਯੂ.ਪੀ. ਦਾ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੀ। ਸੁਖਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਇੱਕ ਤਕਲੀਫ ਨੇ ਘੇਰ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉਸਦੇ ਪਿੰਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਰਸੌਲੀ ਬਣੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਦਾ ਆਕਾਰ ਵੀ ਆਮ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਸੀ। ਕੁਝ ਕੁ ਮਹੀਨਿਆਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਸ ਰਸੌਲੀ ਨੇ ਵੱਧਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
The family often took him to the hospital. But there was not much improvement. On the phone, Sukhman's father Gurwinder Singh said that till now he was undergoing his treatment. But now they were going through many difficult situations. A few days later the Akaal Channel team arrived at Sukhman house.
ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਰ ਵਾਰ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਸੁਧਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਿਆ। ਫੋਨ ਤੇ ਸੁਖਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਗੁਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਇਲਾਜ਼ ਕਰਵਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲ ਹਾਲਾਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋ ਲੰਘ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਕੁਝ ਦਿਨ ਬਾਅਦ ਅਕਾਲ ਚੈਨਲ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਸੁਖਮਨ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਪਹੁੰਚਦੀ ਹੈ ।
Way of the Sukhman speaking was not realized that he was suffering from such a serious illness. While the team was sitting in their yard and talking with his family. Sukhman was lying in the yard. He was loudly saying his parent that who these relatives are? Everyone was sitting near the child after hearing his innocent words.
ਸੁਖਮਨ ਦੇ ਬੋਲਣ ਤੋਂ ਇਹ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਇੰਨੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਜੂਝ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਜਦੋ ਟੀਮ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਹੜੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੈਠੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਸੁਖਮਨ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕਿ ਬਰਾਂਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੇਟਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਉੱਚੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਂ-ਬਾਪ ਨੂੰ ਆਵਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਮਾਰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਲੇ ਪੁੱਛਦਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਪਾਹੁੰਣੇ ਕੌਣ ਆਏ ਹਨ? ਉਸਦੀ ਮਾਸੂਮ ਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਜਾ ਬੈਠਦੇ ਹਨ।
His mother said that Sukhman is smart to speak. But he can't move and he was facing problem lying down. The whole day, they have to take care of him. His father told that the deposit he has till now used for his treatment. Now his land also mortgaged. But they could not cure him due to expensive treatment.
ਉਸਦੀ ਮਾਤਾ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸੁਖਮਨ ਪਾਵੇ ਬੋਲਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੁਸਤ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਉਹ ਚੱਲ-ਫਿਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਲੇਟਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਕਾਫੀ ਤਕਲੀਫ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਹੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸਦਾ ਖ਼ਿਆਲ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਜੋ ਜਮਾ-ਪੂੰਜੀ ਸੀ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਇਲਾਜ਼ ਚੱਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਉਸਦੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਵੀ ਗਹਿਣੇ ਪੈ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਮਹਿੰਗਾ ਇਲਾਜ਼ ਹੋਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਹ ਉਸਦਾ ਇਲਾਜ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਵਾ ਸਕੇ।
He asked help for the child treatment. The Akaal Channel India team consulted with all of its management and informed the child condition. A few days later, Sukhman father Gurvinder Singh was financed with the help of the Sangat.
ਉਸਨੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਜ਼ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਮੱਦਦ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ। ਅਕਾਲ ਚੈਨਲ ਦੀ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਮੈਨਜਮੈਂਟ ਨਾਲ ਸਲਾਹ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਦੇ ਹਾਲਾਤਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕੁਝ ਦਿਨ ਬਾਅਦ ਸੁਖਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਗੁਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਲੀ ਮੱਦਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ।
