When the photos of Kashmir flood goes viral, everyone lived in the country or even if they lived in foreign countries, all focused eyes on Kashmir. There was danger scene which did a great deal of damage in Kashmir. The life of Kashmir residents were completely disturbed.
ਕਸ਼ਮੀਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਮਾਰ ਚੱਲ ਦੀਆਂ ਜਦੋ ਫੋਟੋਆਂ ਵਾਇਰਲ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਹਰ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਾਸੀ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਸਭ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਕਸ਼ਮੀਰ ਵੱਲ ਸੀ। ਪਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਖੌਫਨਾਕ ਮੰਜਰ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਕਸ਼ਮੀਰ ਦਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡਾ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਕਰ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਸੀ। ਉਥੋਂ ਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਸਨੀਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਿੰਦਗੀ ਉਥਲ- ਪੁੱਥਲ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਸੀ।
Three basic needs of life are food, clothes and house and Kashmiris needed three, but the most important was food. In inception time of the Akaal Channel gave part in big service. The channel talked with Gyani Gurbachan Singh of Sri Akal Takht Sahib for helping in langar service as the Shiromani Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee(SGPC) was sending daily the langar service to the land of Jammu and Kashmir.
ਰੋਟੀ,ਕਪੜਾ ਅਤੇ ਮਕਾਨ ਤਿੰਨ ਮੁਢੱਲੀਆਂ ਲੋੜਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋ ਕਸ਼ਮੀਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਸੀ।ਪਰ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਅਹਿਮ ਲੋੜ ਰੋਟੀ ਦੀ ਸੀ। ਅਕਾਲ ਚੈਨਲ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤੀ ਦੌਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਲਈ। ਚੈਨਲ ਨੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਜੱਥੇਦਾਰ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਗੁਰਬਚਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਨਾਲ ਲੰਗਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੇਵਾ ਪਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿਉਕਿ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਗੁਰੂਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਵਲੋਂ ਰੋਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਹੀ ਲੰਗਰ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਜੰਮੂ ਕਸ਼ਮੀਰ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਭੇਜੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ।
To take a part in this service M.D S.Amrik Singh Kooner himself arrived in Amritsar to send twenty lakhs service through Sri Akal Takht Sahib serviceman.
ਅਕਾਲ ਚੈਨਲ ਵਲੋਂ ਇਸ ਸੇਵਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਪਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਐਮ.ਡੀ.ਸ.ਅਮਰੀਕ ਸਿੰਘ ਕੂੰਨਰ ਨੇ ਖੁਦ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਕੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਜੱਥੇਦਾਰ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਵੀਹ ਲੱਖ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਭੇਜੀ।
