HARJINDER SINGH
Harjinder Singh lives with his wife in village Malkpur District, Amritsar. He and his wife were disabled. Harjinder Singh worked as the Granthi Singh of the Gurudwara Sahib and he lived with his wife in a small house built in the Gurudwara Sahib.
ਹਰਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਪਿੰਡ ਮਲਕਪੁਰ ਜਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।ਉਹ ਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਅਪਾਹਜ ਸਨ।ਹਰਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਪਿੰਡ ਦੇ ਗੁਰਦੁਵਾਰਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਗ੍ਰੰਥੀ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਲੋਂ ਸੇਵਾ ਨਿਭਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਣੇ ਛੋਟੇ ਜਿਹੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ।
They had no children. Both husband and wife were living their life with each other. But suddenly Harjinder Singh's health deteriorated, his urine pipe was blocked and his hearing was dimmed. He had to undergo an operation to recover. But he could not get his operation done due to low income at home. As a result, he entrusted the service to someone else and began the sewing work himself.
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਔਲਾਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ। ਪਤੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਦੋਨੋ ਇਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਦੇ ਸਹਾਰੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਗੁਜਾਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਪਰ ਅਚਾਨਕ ਹਰਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਸਿਹਤ ਖ਼ਰਾਬ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਬਾਥਰੂਮ ਪਾਈਪ ਬਲੋਕ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਸੁਣਨਾ ਘੱਟ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। ਠੀਕ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਵਾਉਣਾ ਪੈਣਾ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਮਦਨ ਘੱਟ ਹੋਣ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣਾ ਆਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਵਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਸੀ। ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਹ ਗੁਰਦੁਵਾਰਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਨਿਭਾ ਪਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ । ਇਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸੇਵਾ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਨੂੰ ਸੋਪ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਤੇ ਖੁਦ ਕਪੜੇ ਸਲਾਈ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
One day when Harjinder Singh comes to Amritsar to get medicine, doctors tell him to have an operation immediately. But He says that he is not able to get his operation. When doctors see both husband and wife were unable to walk and were living in difficult conditions. Looking after the circumstances of Harjinder Singh doctor contacted the Akaal Channel team. The team arrives at the hospital. Seeing his condition, they meet with doctors and talks about having an operation as soon as possible.
ਇੱਕ ਦਿਨ ਜਦੋ ਹਰਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਦਵਾਈ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਡਾਕਟਰ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਜਲਦੀ ਆਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।ਪਰ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਜਬੂਰੀ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਅਸਮਰੱਥ ਹੈ। ਡਾਕਟਰ ਜਦੋ ਦੋਨਾਂ ਪਤੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਦੋਨੋ ਹੀ ਚੱਲਣ ਫਿਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਅਸੱਮਰਥ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਪਰੋਂ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਹਾਲਾਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।ਡਾਕਟਰ ਹਰਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਹਾਲਾਤ ਦੇਖ ਕੇ ਅਕਾਲ ਚੈਨਲ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਟੀਮ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਪਹੁੰਚਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਾਲਾਤ ਦੇਖ ਕੇ ਡਾਕਟਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਜਲਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਜਲਦੀ ਆਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
